Ashwellthorpe based Britannia Fire, the UK’s leading manufacturer of lightweight, composite fire extinguishers, has answered a call for help from Wreningham CE VC Primary School. Donating six innovative P50 fire extinguishers, it’s helped transform fire safety at the school and save vital funds.
Wreningham CE VC Primary School is small with only ~100 pupils. Budgets are tight and Britannia’s donation will mean the money can be put to good use elsewhere in the school.
Elaine Thurlow, Business Manager at Wreningham CE VC Primary School is grateful for the support:
“Our fire extinguishers were due to be serviced but our existing service engineer had retired, so we approached Britannia Fire to see if they could help. To my surprise, they quickly responded offering to give us brand-new fire extinguishers, which are much more user friendly and better for the environment.
“We immediately said, yes please! Britannia Fire is local to us and having their help and support is really appreciated.
“Installation was quick and easy, and they were able to work around the children and the school day. As their fire extinguishers are multipurpose, we were also able to halve the amount of fire extinguishers on site, saving much needed space.
“The children have been learning about fire safety this term, so the donation was very timely and served as a very useful lesson prop.”
